What exactly is the Fairy Court? TOP
We are a group of independent fairy and fantasy artists working together to help promote one another and further our own and each other's careers through working trade shows, and festivals and advertising. Some of us are fairly well established, others are just beginning, but all of us are dedicated professionals.
Does that mean you are a wholesale sales rep? TOP
Not really, but kind of. There is no middleman in a show room somewhere taking a percentage from every sale. You do work directly with the artists you are ordering from. So, in that way, we are not like a sales rep. But we do represent one another at shows when we cannot all be there. Our manager, Jacqueline, is one of our artists and she does most of the sales and paperwork, but we all help out where we can with those things we have strengths in, such as web design or graphics or display design.
What are your terms and conditions? TOP
Each artist will have their own wholesale minimums. These can be found on their websites, easily reached via their own portals here.
We require a valid resale or tax id number on every order.
What are your shipping charges? TOP
Again, shipping rates will vary depending on your order and which artist/s you order from. This is due to several factors...location of the artist being a prime one. You are always welcome to contact each artist you are interested in to find out an estimated shipping charge before purchasing from them.
I'm not a wholesale customer, can I still order? TOP
This site is for wholesale purchasing only at this time. However, we all welcome retail shopping at our individual websites. You can find the links for these at the bottom of our Bio pages in the left hand navigation menu under each artists name, or in the Links page in the top navigation menu.
I'm an artist wanting to get involved. How can I join The Fairy Court? TOP
Thanks for your interest! We think its a pretty neat idea too. While we are always taking submissions for new members, we unfortunately are not always adding them. We have a membership limit in order to best serve everyone. If you would like to send us an email, please do. We will keep it in our files for when we are adding new members. Please note the following tips for potential new members:
- We add new members via committee with all of us voting. Please do not send us hard copy submissions via snail mail as there is no easy way for all our members to view such material.
- We choose new members based on several factors: quality of work, professionalism, uniqueness of work compared to our current members, and how well the artist themselves may fit in with our group, personality-wise. If you do not like email or are not web savvy, you probably wont fit well. We are an international group and do most of our communication via the internet so we need our artists to be easy to communicate with.
- The Fairy Court is not a publisher, licensor, or sales rep group. All members are expected to pay for their percentage of the show costs advertising fees, and various other direct business expenses. In addition, there is a minimal yearly membership fee. Please be sure you are prepared for this expense before submitting.
- The Fairy Court works to promote the artists and their products primarily to resellers through wholesale shows and advertising. If you do not already have a professional website and body of work, including products for sale on a wholesale scale, you will not benefit from being a member here.
Regardless of whether you become a Fairy Court member, we, as fellow artists on this fairy path, wish you much success and luck!
