Suzanne
has always drawn from a young age, influenced heavily by her toddler
viewing of Walt Disney and all that is the world of magic, illusion,
fairies and fantasy.
Suzanne is a qualified Graphic
Designer and was a founding participant of the Centre for Advanced
Digital Screen Animation in Fremantle, Western Australia. When
Suzanne is not drawing, she writes for children and animation.
She studied under some of the great Animation writers such as
Lisa Medway and Ellen Besen and fell in love with writing about
fantasy worlds all over again as an adult. When time permits,
Suzanne takes time to spread her knowledge and teaches cartooning
to school students. Suzanne is also a member of Women in Animation.
Suzanne recently took her
expressionistic and trad-digital artwork to the internet and was
happily surprised when requests for her glicee prints and fantasy
commissions began to come rolling in from all around the world.
Suzanne lives in Perth, Western
Australia with her wonderful, funny and supportive husband and
border collie, Missy and two kooky cats, Gizmo and Mojo.
Suzanne has always been inspired
by animation, comic book art, and fantasy worlds. Being a "cat"
person, Catwoman was always her favourite comic book character
and of course Kimba the White Lion and the antics of Warner Brothers
Sylvester. But it was the magic of Samantha and Tabitha in the
TV Series Bewitched and the fairies of Walt Disney that made her
fall in love with all that is magical and possible!
"My dream has always
been to make children smile and to one day put all of my pink,
blue, purple, green and polkadot fairies together into a book
for children and achieve that dream all over the world."
